The Ford Government Education Center attempts to be as flexible as possible in meeting teacher requests.  With the exception of certain special programs all regular programming is available throughout the school year.  Special programs include the AT&T Leaders Meet Leaders, Black History and Womens History programs.

Group and school tours must be pre-reserved through the education department.  Programs are different from tours and include educational material presentented in a fun, engaging way.  Programs are designed for a certain period of time.  Times may be adjusted but is not recomended due to the loss of content.  Programs may have items on the teacher resource page that will aid in preparing students for the material being covered.

Start time depends on arrival time.  The Ford Center is able to begin programs as early as 9:00 a.m.

Once again, we attempt to be flexible and that means keeping your lunch schedule as close as possible to your regular time.  A lunch area is provided for schools who wish to bring lunches for their students.  The lunch room is available without charge to schools with registration.

Due to time restraints, in most cases it is difficult to schedule a 3 hour program, lunch and a museum tour on the same day.  Another choice would be to reserve a Wendell H. Ford Government Education Center Tour and a museum tour.

Make your reservation as soon as possible at least  two weeks prior to the requested date.  Day are reserved on a first come basis.  The cost is based on the number of students attending on that day.  Schools and Groups. outside of Daviess County, are charged $2.50 per student.  Teachers, staff and official chaperones are admitted free.  Schools and groups, inside Daviess County, are charged $2.00 per student.  Payment may be made by Cash, Check, Credit Card or schools may use a Purchase Order.
